Russell Burgess Jr was born in Joliet, Illinois, USA on March 22, 1955...the son of Russell Lee Burgess, Sr. and Wilma Mae (Nordyke) Burgess.
He left this world on May 13th, 2013.
He is survived by his wife Mary Diane "Di" (Hutcheson) Stephens Burgess..two step-children, Blake Alexander Stephens, and Caitlin Alexandria Stephens... Nicholas Lee Burgess, a son.. and Liannah Morgan Burgess, a daughter.
His sisters Julia..Lana..Betty..Mary..and a brother William (Billy).....and several nieces and nephews.
He is much loved and will be remembered by his friends and family, always, as one of the most loving, gentle, kind, caring men that ever was....his time with us was too short, he went too early, but we know he is resting with God now. We know he is still with us, and watching over us.
We love you so much Russell, and we will keep the light shining for you until the day we are all reunited.

The memorial service for Russ will be held at Chapman's Funeral Home in Swainsboro on June 4th, 2013 at 11AM.

Russell would be so happy at the outpouring of support from all of his friends and family, we both thank you all.
He has many friends that he cares a great deal for, and of course a loving family of sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, aunts, all whom he loves greatly and who love him.
Everyone is free to light candles, leave messages and stories, pictures, anything....the children and I will read it daily.
